2. LEARNING OUTCOMES
Learning Outcomes |
The aim of the course is to teach students methodologies for designing of industrial and environmental facilities (eg. municipal waste water treatment plants) and for composing environmental impact assessment studies. Students work in teams to design a wastewater treatment facility based on raw data. Work includes the estimation / calculation of design parameters, planning and costing of the installation, as well as the preparation of the relevant Environmental Impact Study. At the end of the semester, the students present orally the results of their work. The work is a continuation of the MΠ554 course. Upon successful completion of this course the students will be able to: • Design integrated industrial and environmental processes • Compile flow charts, top view graphs, P & I diagrams, hydraulic sections • Estimate the cost of environmental projects • To prepare technical studies on environmental processes. • To compose environmental impact assessment studies |
