2. LEARNING OUTCOMES
Learning Outcomes |
The course of "Noise Control" aims to introduce the student to the basic concepts related to noise. The course material presents definitions, concepts and decisions related to the production of noise by humans. In addition, the main goal of the course is for students to understand the importance of recording noise levels in both workplaces and residential areas, in order to protect human hearing. Upon successful completion of the course the student should be able to adequately cope with the following Measurement, evaluation, forecasting and ways of dealing with noise emitted from various sources to the environment. Existing institutional adequacy and inadequacy of noise control in the country, and the country's obligations under the European noise response policy. Topics: Introductory concepts of acoustics and noise, Impacts of noise exposure, recommended noise levels for different areas, Measurement and evaluation of noise, Environmental, industrial, traffic, aviation, social and occupational noise, noise protection, basic noise legislation, noise forecasting models |
