Hydraulics I course is an introduction in open channel hydraulics. Main objectives of this course is to introduce to the students the basic principles of open channel hydraulics, after a short revisit in the principles of fluid mechanics. The course elaborates on the methods for estimation of the flow depth and energy and offers the students the basic knowledge required for further elaboration in hydraulic works design in the next courses.
