Christina Kotsifaki

Christina Kotsifaki holds a degree in Chemical Engineering from the National Technical University of Athens and a Master of Science from the School of Production Engineering and Management , Technical University of Crete.
She has over thirty years experience in water quality and wastewater treatment , and is Head of Water and Wastewater Treatment and Quality Control for the Municipal Company for Water and Sewage of Chania (DEYACh). She has participated in various research programs regarding water and wastewater quality, treatment and reuse and has been team coordinator in projects concerning the design, funding, construction and operation of the municipality of Chania wastewater and sludge treatment systems, water management and risk assessment, and cost evaluation of water and wastewater systems.
She has served in committees with the Hellenic Association of Municipal Water and Sewarage Utilities (EDEYA) working on water utilities benchmarking, the new EU water quality directive and wastewater sludge management and is a member of the Ministry of Health committee for the implementation of the new EU water quality directive in Greece.
