PhD Candidate Katerina Drosou won the "Best Poster Paper" award in the thematic section "Catalysis-Fundamental and Applied Chemistry", presented at the 13th Panhellenic Scientific Conference in Chemical Engineering (Patras, June 2022). Her research work "Catalytic Oxidation of CO under conditions of excess O2, over dispersed Ir nanoparticles on Al2O3-CexZr1-xO2 mixed oxide supports" is conducted at the Laboratory of Physical Chemistry & Chemical Processes of the School of Chemical & Environmental Engineering, Technical University of Crete, under the supervision of Prof. I.V. Yentekakis and in the frame of the Greece-China bilateral cooperation project “CatEfDeNOx”.
This research project concerns the development of highly active and selective nano-catalysts for the effective abatement of automotive pollutants and is implemented within the framework of the National Action "Bilateral & Multilateral R&T Cooperation Greece-China" co-financed by the European Union and by national resources, in particular by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF), within the framework of the Operational Program ΕΠΑνΕΚ 2014-2020 (Project Code: T7ΔKI-00356).
