Περίληψη

Στην παρούσα διάλεξη παρουσιάζεται μία εισαγωγή στην χρήση νανουλικών στην επιστήμη της Βιοχημικής μηχανικής με προοπτική σε περιβαλλοντικές εφαρμογές. Πραγματοποιείται διασύνδεση ερευνητικού αντικειμένου του υποψηφίου με την περιγραφή των θέσεων APP28955 και APP28956 καθώς και η συνοπτική παρουσίαση των προσόντων του προς αξιολόγηση στην ένταξη του ως μέλος ΔΕΠ στις παραπάνω θέσεις.

Abstract

This lecture presents an introduction to the use of nanomaterials in the science of Biochemical engineering with a perspective on environmental applications. The candidate's research activities are linked to the description of the positions APP28955 and APP28956 as well as a summative presentation of the candidate's qualifications in order to be evaluated for the incorporation as a faculty member in the above positions.

Short Bio

Dr. Pavlos K. Pandis, obtained his Diploma in Chemical Engineering and his PhD (supported by a national 1st place scholarship in Materials Science) at the National Technical University of Athens (NTUA). He is currently a research associate at the Institute of Nanoscience and Nanotechnology (INN) of the EKEFE Dimokritos research center and at the Energy and Competence center (https://hecc.gr/). He has been involved for 15 consecutive years in research projects and has participated so far in five (5) EU funded projects and four (4) nationally funded projects with simultaneous freelance activities since 2014.
He has also served as a Visiting Lecturer at (a) the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens (b) at the Interdisciplinary Interdepartmental Master's Program (IIMP) "Materials Science and Technology" of NTUA and (3) at the former Technological Educational Institute of Central Greece
The activities of his research interest number over 45 publications in journals and Book Chapters, and he has more than 80 participations in international and national conferences. He is co-editor of 3 international scientific journals and his expertise is related to the fields of (i) (Nano)-Materials synthesis, (ii) Environmental Processes, (iii) Green Chemistry, (iv) Waste Treatment.
